Two posts in one day, whatcha think about that???
I want to do a little recap of the first year of Jordan's life and this is more than likely going to be a work in progress as I try to capture all of the milestones and quirks of our amazing baby girl. To start, here's a link to my birth story...
Sorry, this link is no longer valid, so I have re-posted Jordan's birth story in it's own post, here.
Jordan's birth left me with such an amazing feeling of accomplishment as a woman. I felt empowered and like nothing could hold me down. It was truly a life changing experience for more reasons than one and I cannot wait to do it all over again.
Jordan's First Year Milestones:
First Bath - November 8th (1 day old)
First Smile - about 1 month old
First Full Night of Sleep -
First Time Rolling Over Back to Front -
First Time Sitting Up -
First Time Crawling -
First Wave -
First Word - Ball (X months old)
First Time Standing -
First Time Standing -
First Steps - 9.5 months old
To say that I love Jordan doesn't even begin to explain it. She lights up my world and it's hard to believe that she has only blessed our lives for just over a year. I can't remember what it was like (and don't even care!) without her. I have wanted to make a book of things that I want to always remember about her, but sadly, I never got around to even starting it, so hopefully I can start to track those things here (and hopefully I haven't forgotten too many already)!
To start, I want to always remember how silky soft her hands and cheeks are. I have spent many nights rocking her in her rocking chair or breastfeeding her on the couch and just stroking the back of of one of her hands and telling myself that I wanted to be able to do that forever.
I want to always remember the way she would "play defense" when we tried to put the pacifier in her mouth. At just a month or so old, she would shake her head back and forth really fast with her mouth wide open, swat with her hands, and then take the pacifier like it was laced with chocolate breastmilk!
I want to always remember her spiky, dark hair.
I want to always remember the first nights of having sleep in the Boppy (shhh, I know this is totally horrible and unsafe) on our bed in between us and I would wake up every hour completely freaked out that she was smothered and couldn't breath. She was totally fine every time.
I want to always remember
(One day, I hope I will be able to feel like I completed these lists without forgetting any important details.)
