Last Wednesday was my first OB appointment and ultrasound. With my symptoms diminishing a little, it was very nerve wracking to think that something might be going wrong again. Heading into this appointment, it was a huge mix of excitement and anxiousness.
Bobby and I walked into Seaside Women's Health together and it was a pleasant surprise to not have to wait at all. We were taken right back into the Art Room (the waiting room to the ultrasound room). The norm from when I was pregnant with Jordan was at least a 30 minute wait in the front lobby, then you were brought back to an exam room for blood pressure and random questions. You could then wait for another 30 minutes to an hour before being moved into the Art Room for another 20 or 30 minutes, etc. You get the point. Even after all of that, seeing Dr. B made it all worth it. With the addition of a new OB in his practice, it seems like Dr. B's patient load is much more manageable and the wait is NOTHING. It's the best of both worlds! Anyway, after our very minimal wait, I was on the table waiting to see our baby. When Dr. B started, I had a slight panic attack when I saw an empty uterus, but a split second later, we saw it! Our beautiful little babe with a heartbeat of around 150! Relief doesn't even begin to explain how I/we felt. With a loss the cycle before getting pregnant, it is normally difficult to estimate a Guess Date and an ultrasound is how the Dr's are able to date the pregnancy. Since I had been using OPKs, I had a pretty good idea of when I ovulated and was almost certain that I was 6 weeks 2 days. I told Dr. B this and as he started to do the measurements, his first estimation was 6w1d (ok, so I was one day off), buuuuuuuuuuuut after completing the measurements, he corrected himself and I am, in fact, 6w2d! Where's my cookie? JK It's not a huge deal, but I was pretty impressed with myself. Anyway, without further ado, please allow me to introduce to you Little Flooder III!!!

Dr. B saved my annual exam for this week so I could come back and see our babe again. Bobby wont be there since he's in Florida till the 31st, but I feel much better about everything now and he was totally fine with me getting another peek without him. Hopefully I'll have a more baby-like picture to post from Friday's appointment.
Now, for fun, I thought I'd start doing these weekly surveys to document this pregnancy and get me updating more often :)
How far along? 7w2d
Weight gain/loss: I had already gained a few pounds from my miscarriage and now I think I'm up 5 or 6 lbs.
Maternity clothes? Nope! Luckily, I dropped quite a bit of weight after Jordan was born and ended up below my pre-pregnany weight, so a lot of my normal clothes became my fat clothes and my fat clothes became my fatter clothes. At this point, I'm still in the jeans that I bought post pregnancy and will have plenty of fat and fatter clothes to use before I jump to maternity......I hope!
Stretch marks? Not yet. I think I only got a few on my hips from Jordan, so hopefully I'll get lucky again and keep them to a minimum.
Sleep? Aside from being sick, I think I'm sleeping pretty well.
Best moment this week? It will be my ultrasound on Friday. Can't wait!
Food cravings? Mostly salty, greasy foods (ie: Cheeseburgers and Taco Bell).
Gender: For some reason I think it's a girl, but don't tell Bobby!
Belly button in or out? It stayed put with Jordan, so I doubt it will pop out this time, but we shall see.
Movement? Not quite.....although, those dang phantom kicks really make me think twice!
What I'm looking forward to: My ultrasound on Friday!
Weekly wisdom: Being sick and pregnant SUCKS!
Milestones: Baby should look more "baby-like" this week.
